Job summary

St Vincent’s Health Australia is seeking a compassionate Pastoral & Spiritual Care Practitioner for our Maroochydore and/or Gympie Aged care services. You will deliver holistic spiritual care to residents, families and staff, working within an interdisciplinary team to support emotional wellbeing.

The role emphasises person-centred care, respect for diverse beliefs, and the attainment of CPE or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• Attainment of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) qualification or equivalent training in counselling, theology, psychology or equivalent.
• Willing to apply for Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (essential)
• Willing to apply for NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
• Ability to work autonomously and to provide person-centred pastoral care
• Respect and sensitivity to diverse religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Provide professional pastoral and spiritual care to residents, families, support networks and staff.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support holistic care.
• Assess and prioritise pastoral needs and develop care plans and support strategies.
• Provide religious and spiritual resources aligned with residents' values and beliefs.
