Job summary

City of Parramatta Council is seeking experienced Parks Operations and Maintenance Team Members to support the maintenance of parks, gardens and open spaces across the local area.

Responsibilities include undertaking general parks and horticultural maintenance, operating tractors and equipment, carrying out chemical applications and vegetation management, and safely using chainsaws and related tools; location in Rydalmere with ASAP start, casual engagement and 6:00am–3:00pm shifts.

Qualifications

• MR driving licence required.
• Chainsaw qualifications or certification beneficial.
• Horticultural training or experience required.
• Tractor or equipment operating experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general parks and horticultural maintenance.
• Operate tractors, equipment and other machinery.
• Carry out chemical applications and vegetation management.
• Use chainsaws and horticultural equipment safely.
