Job summary

Excel Recruitment is assisting a client in Mascot to fill a full-time Parks and Gardens labourer position. You will perform outdoor gardening duties and contribute to maintaining public spaces at a high standard.

Successful candidates will have a White Card, prefer MR Licence, and demonstrate punctuality, reliability and teamwork. Hours are Monday to Thursday 6.30am–3.30pm, with Fridays 6.30am–10.30am.

Qualifications

• White Card required.
• MR Licence preferred.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, edging and maintaining lawns and grassed areas.
• Whipper snipping and line trimming around pathways, fences and garden beds.
• Pruning trees, shrubs, hedges and other plants.
• Weeding and maintaining garden beds.
• Planting trees, shrubs, flowers and other vegetation.
• Operating basic gardening and landscaping equipment.
• Blowing and clearing leaves, grass clippings and general garden waste.
• Raking, sweeping and maintaining parks, pathways and public areas.
• Removing rubbish and maintaining clean outdoor areas.
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Communicating professionally with customers, supervisors and members of the public.
• Completing tasks independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
• Following daily schedules and completing jobs within allocated timeframes.
