Job summary

Council Jobs in Victoria is seeking a motivated Parks & Gardens Officer to join our Infrastructure team. In this role you will maintain and enhance parks, gardens, streetscapes and public spaces to keep them safe, attractive and enjoyable for the community.

You will perform horticultural tasks, operate plant and equipment, and assist with trees, irrigation and park infrastructure while ensuring safety and quality standards across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in parks and gardens, horticulture, landscaping or open space maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate relevant plant and equipment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and a current Victorian Driver Licence.
• Certificate III in Parks & Gardens, Horticulture or related field.
• Construction Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain.
• Experience operating parks and gardens maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities
