Job summary

1300apprentice offers a 1st Year Parks & Gardens Apprenticeship across Avalon and Dee Why in New South Wales. You will earn while you learn as a full-time apprentice aiming for a nationally recognised Certificate III in Parks & Gardens.

From day one you’ll work with a supportive team, learning planting, mowing, soil health and safe tool use on domestic, commercial and strata sites. A White Card and a valid driver’s licence are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Love for the outdoors and physically active work.
• Ability to obtain a national police clearance (we pay).
• Genuine interest in landscaping, gardening and the green industry.
• P drivers licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and garden beds.
• Mowing, edging, whipper-snipping and mulching.
• Soil health, turf management and plant establishment programs.
• Working across domestic, commercial and strata properties.
• Garden project planning and costing.
• Safe use of tools and machinery.
