Job summary

The City of Hobart is seeking a dedicated Parking and Information Officer to enforce parking regulations and assist residents and visitors with information and guidance at the Council Centre.

You will patrol on-street and off-street parking areas, issue infringements where appropriate, deliver high-quality customer service, and respond professionally to enquiries, while working a Tuesday to Saturday roster under the Enterprise Agreement 2024.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Driver Licence.
• Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
• Ability to walk significant distances throughout the day and work additional hours, including weekends.
• Experience in compliance, regulatory services, enforcement or customer-focused environments will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Work a Tuesday to Saturday roster as required under the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, providing responsive service delivery and operational support during designated business hours.
• Patrol on-street and off-street parking areas across Hobart.
• Issue parking infringements accurately and in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Provide high-quality customer service and parking information to residents and visitors.
• Respond professionally to public enquiries and challenging situations.
• Monitor and report faults with parking infrastructure, signage and enforcement assets.
• Assist customers within Council-operated parking facilities when required.
