Job summary

Border Express Pty Ltd in Geelong is seeking an experienced and motivated casual Parcel Sorter to join the busy Geelong branch. The role offers a transparent pay rate of $35.76/hr + super, with casual loading and early starts from 6:00 AM.

Weekly pay is provided, and the position is located close to home within a national company. You will examine parcels, load/unload safely, maintain processing records, and work with the team to meet schedules while upholding WHS standards.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn on the job and follow safety rules.
• Adhere to WHS and safety regulations at all times.
• Must be physically fit for repetitive lifting and manual handling.
• Reliable with the ability to perform loading/unloading tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Examine each parcel and allocate by postcode, destination and branch.
• Load/unload parcels from pallets following correct manual handling.
• Complete and maintain parcel processing records and documentation.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to meet schedules and escalate issues.
• Load freight onto a conveyor belt and sort freight.

Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivated casualParcel Sorterto join the team at our busy Geelong branch.

Transparent pay rate - $35.76/hr + super (includes casual loading).

Casual role.

Early starts - 6:00AM.

Weekly, reliable pay cycle.

Work close to home.

Opportunity to join a busy, national company.

Duties:

Examine each parcel and allocate it into an appropriate area for delivery; Via Postcode, Destination, and Branch.

Ensure the manually load / unloadof parcels from pallets is done safely following correct manual handling processes.

Complete and maintain parcel processing records and all documentation associated as required.

Communicate amongst your team and supervisors to meet agreed schedules, and escalate any issues in relation to processes, safety and operations.

Loading/unloadingfreight onto a conveyor belt.

Sorting freight.

What we’re looking for:

Someone who is happy to learn on the job.

Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations.

Excellent attitude, a good work ethic and reliability.

A high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive lifting.

Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical which includes a Drug and Alcohol test and National Police Check (both paid for by Border Express).
