Job summary

SA Health in Adelaide seeks a Chief Paramedic Officer to provide expert professional and strategic advice on paramedicine, workforce and patient safety across the system.

The role oversees policy development, partnerships and improvement initiatives to deliver safer, more integrated patient care, engaging senior stakeholders and linking SA Health with DHW and health settings nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must hold current registration with the Paramedicine Board AHPRA.
• Successful track record as a recognised paramedic leader with extensive experience at a senior level.
• Extensive experience in paramedicine, service delivery and the regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and implementation of policies, partnerships and improvement initiatives to support safer, more integrated patient care.
• Engage with senior stakeholders across government and health sector to provide strategic professional leadership.
• Act as link between SA Health, DHW and various health care settings, public and private.
• Provide expert advice to the Chief Executive DHW, Deputy Chief Executive CSSI, HCEC, SA Ambulance Service and Minister for Health and Wellbeing.
