Job summary

SA Health in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Officer to support the Patient Safety team within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. The role coordinates governance processes, manages safety data systems, and links clinical and non-clinical staff to improve patient care.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will coordinate CIBs, CRC activities, document actions, minutes and ensure governance compliance. This position is full-time and fixed-term to September 2027.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Medical Terminology or Health Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply medical terminology in documentation.
• Clear verbal and written communication of complex medical information.
• High attention to detail in documentation and data management.
• Experience building positive relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert support to stakeholders on patient safety matters, internal and external to SALHN.
• Facilitate Executive level Critical Incident Briefings (CIBs).
• Track and follow up on actions to ensure timely responses.
• Manage sensitive information with discretion and governance compliance.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure documentation is available.
• Record minutes accurately and maintain records and action databases.
• Ensure reporting and documentation comply with legislation.
