Job summary

Law Society of New South Wales in Sydney is seeking a proactive Paralegal to join the Assessment and Compliance team on a full-time, 35-hour week with a hybrid schedule.

You will assist with licensing, trust accounting, and suitability matters, conduct legal research, manage files, and draft correspondence under supervision. This role requires studying or completed law degree, strong organisation, and excellent communication; you will work closely with Legal Regulation staff.

Qualifications

• Studying a law degree or a law degree graduate.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and research to Regulatory Officers.
• Assist with preliminary assessment, investigations and records.
• Classify, organise and manage files and evidence for matters.
• Draft correspondence, reports, and documentation under supervision.
• Support in managing reporting and precedent systems for the team.
