Job summary

Urban Legal is seeking a Paralegal to join our NSW planning, environment and local government team. You’ll work closely with lawyers, keep matters moving and gain exposure early with supportive senior colleagues.

Responsibilities include preparing court documents, assisting with chronologies and legal research, drafting routine correspondence, liaising with clients and courts, and managing matter files and deadlines while identifying next steps in proceedings.

Qualifications

• Curious, motivated and willing to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Able to work 3-4 days a week and manage deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently with support from lawyers.

Urban Legal is growing, and we're looking for a Paralegal who is smart, curious, organised and keen to build their career with us. (To work a minimum of 3-4 days a week)

We're a specialist planning, environment and local government law firm working with councils, developers, consultants and private clients across some of the most interesting matters in NSW.

We're serious about the work we do. We're just not particularly interested in doing law firm life the way it's always been done.

THE ROLE

You’ll work closely with our lawyers and play a genuine role in keeping matters moving.

There is administration. Of course there is.

But we believe junior people should be trusted to think, not just to do.

You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas and understand the matters you’re working on. You’ll get exposure early, with experienced lawyers around you to provide support when you need it.
