Job summary

Faculti Lawyers is seeking a capable Paralegal to join the Restructuring, Recoveries & Disputes team in our Sydney office. This full-time position offers exposure to high-volume, complex matters in a modern, technology-enabled setting.

You will provide accurate and timely support, work with a collaborative team, and demonstrate a can-do attitude with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for running a file.
Strong organisational skills to manage a large number of files at a time and meet deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, debtors and internal staff.
A team player, willing to help others when necessary.
Accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Drafting Notices, demands, pleadings and general correspondence.
Drafting statements of claim, judgments, writs of possession.
E-filing of court documents.
Assisting with the general management and running of files to meet client service level requirements and protect our clients' interests on all matters.
Telephone calls and general correspondence with clients, debtors and third parties to progress the files (involves taking instructions, negotiating proposals with debtors).
Regular follow ups of security packets, process servers, court documents etc.
Preparing discharge of mortgages and arranging settlement, as required.
Preparing files for eviction.
Identifying complex, sensitive and high risk matters and escalating them to a Lawyer.
Basic clerical duties associated with running your files.
