Job summary

The NSW Institute of Sport invites applications for the Para Unit Talent Identification & Development Advisor. You will lead identification, recruitment and support of para athletes with potential for high performance, aligning sport options with strengths and interests.

You will collaborate with national partners, regional academies and coaches to expand the para pathway, implement development opportunities, and uphold safeguarding and inclusion across programs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading talent identification and development strategies for para athletes.
• Demonstrated understanding of talent pathways and partnerships.
• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and communities.
• Experience with monitoring athlete development and safeguarding.
• Knowledge of high performance best practices in para sport.
• Commitment to inclusive programs and culturally respectful practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead talent identification and development across para athletes.
• Identify partnerships with NSOs/NSODs, schools and clubs.
• Monitor athlete progression with tracking systems.
• Deliver development opportunities with coaches and specialists.
• Ensure safeguarding, inclusion and accessibility across programs.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal form.
