Aussie Painters Network is recruiting Painting Apprentices to join its members' growing teams in Australia. You will work alongside qualified painters, gain hands-on experience, and receive mentoring and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.

The role focuses on developing trade skills through on-the-job training and exposure to residential and commercial projects, with a path to national qualification upon completion.

About the Role

As a Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:

• Erecting and maintaining trestle and plank systems
• Handling painting and decorating materials
• Using painting and decorating tools and equipment
• Removing and replacing doors, windows, and components
• Preparing surfaces for painting
• Applying paint using brushes and rollers
• Applying textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray

Requirements

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A genuine interest in undertaking aPainting Apprenticeship
• A White Card, or the ability to obtain one ASAP
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
• A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• The ability to follow instructions and take direction
• Trustworthiness and motivation

Preferred (but not essential):

• A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Previous painting or construction-related work experience an advantage
• Paid apprenticeship withon-the-job training
• Ongoing mentoring from experienced, qualified painters
• Nationally recognised qualification upon completion
