Job summary

National Timber & Hardware Association (NTHA) in Silverdale, NSW, is seeking a motivated 1st Year Wood Machining Apprentice. You’ll work with state-of-the-art machinery, learn to read plans, and produce timber products while earning a nationally recognised Certificate III in Wood Machining.

You’ll get paid while you learn, with yearly wage increases, and may access up to $10,000 in government incentives for eligible apprentices.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn a hands-on trade.
• Reliable and hardworking.
• Interested in building or making things.
• Physically fit and ready for practical work.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and timber machinery.
• Read plans and technical drawings.
• Cut, shape and machine timber to specifications.
• Produce timber products and handle production runs.
• Use industry-leading equipment safely.
