Job summary

National Timber & Hardware Association (NTHA) in Silverdale, NSW, is seeking a motivated 1st Year Wood Machining Apprentice. You’ll work with state-of-the-art machinery, learn to read plans, and produce timber products while earning a nationally recognised Certificate III in Wood Machining.

You’ll get paid while you learn, with yearly wage increases, and may access up to $10,000 in government incentives for eligible apprentices.

NTHA Trainees & Apprentices is looking for a motivated 1st Year Wood Machining Apprentice to join a leading Australian-owned timber manufacturer in Silverdale.

This isn't a job where you'll be stuck behind a desk. You'll work with state-of-the-art machinery, create quality timber products, develop practical trade skills, and get paid while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

What you'll learn

• Operate CNC and specialised timber machinery
• Cut, shape and machine timber to precise specifications
• Read plans and technical drawings
• Produce custom timber products and large production runs
• Use industry-leading equipment and technology
• Work safely in a professional manufacturing environment
