Job summary

The position supports training toward ACEM, RACP, RACGP and ACRRM qualifications, with an emphasis on patient safety, quality improvement, and teamwork within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated excellent paediatric and neonatal clinical skills and judgement.
• Competence in neonatal resuscitation and common paediatric procedures.
• Ability to organise, plan and manage competing tasks and provide concise handover.
• Commitment to quality improvement, supervision of junior medical staff, patient safety and risk management.
• Ability to adapt communication for patients and peers; write clear clinical notes and referrals.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to clinical team building.
• Ability to manage conflict within a team environment and resolve differing opinions.

Responsibilities

• Provide paediatric and neonatal experience supervised in diverse clinical settings including wards and nursery.
• Participate in the education program and potential clinical research.
