Job summary

Medhealth Dba is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to support a specialised paediatric caseload in Townsville, with flexible contract length and travel options. The role focuses on Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients, including families across home, school and clinic settings, with telehealth for remote families and outreach to Mackay and Cairns.

Most interventions are short‑term, delivered in intensive blocks; there is potential relocation or FIFO from Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Paediatric experience and paediatric caseload familiarity.
• Strong skills in speech and language assessment and intervention.
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with families and professionals.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to clinical practice.
• Interest in Deaf and Hard of Hearing spaces with willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Paediatric speech and language assessment and intervention across home, school and clinic.
• Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients and families, with a focus on short-term goals.
• Work with clients with complex or dual diagnoses and First Nations families.
• Provide telehealth services for remote families and outreach to Mackay/Cairns.
• Collaborate with clinical leads and contribute to program development.
