Job summary

Avina is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team across Brisbane North and the Moreton Bay region. You’ll deliver evidence-informed paediatric assessments and interventions in home, school, community and telehealth settings, with caseloads local to Chermside through North Lakes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy.
• Current AHPRA registration or eligibility.
• Interest in or experience working with children and young people.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle for community work.

About the Role

We're looking for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team across Brisbane North and the Moreton Bay region.

Depending on where you're based, your caseload could include areas such as Chermside, Aspley, Carseldine, Bridgeman Downs, Albany Creek, Strathpine, Brendale, Warner, Petrie, Kallangur, Mango Hill, North Lakes and surrounding suburbs.

While our broader service area covers Brisbane's northern corridor, you won't be expected to travel across the entire region. Wherever possible, we'll build your caseload around where you live, helping keep travel practical and giving you genuine flexibility over your working week.

You'll work with children and young people across a mix of home, school, community and telehealth settings, supporting them to build functional skills, independence and confidence in everyday life.

Build a Paediatric Caseload That Works for You

You'll support children and families across a varied NDIS caseload, with opportunities to work across areas including sensory and emotional regulation, motor development, functional independence, daily living skills and participation at home, school and in the community.

We welcome OTs at different stages of their career:

• Early career clinicians looking to develop their paediatric experience with structured supervision and support
• Experienced paediatric OTs wanting greater flexibility, autonomy and opportunities to continue developing their clinical interests

You'll also have access to Avina's wider OT and multidisciplinary network, with clinical supervision, peer collaboration, Communities of Practice and ongoing professional development.
