Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland, Victoria invites applications for a part-time Clinical Educator (Paediatrics). This fixed-term role focuses on leading paediatric nursing education, mentorship, and workforce development within the Timbarra Unit, supporting safe, high-quality care for children and families.

The Educator will drive learning aligned with LRH's strategic aims, promote evidence-based practice, and foster continuous professional development for staff at all career stages.

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with AHPRA and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Advanced Life Support competency across adult, paediatric and neonatal settings.
• Minimum five years post-registration experience in a high-acuity healthcare setting.
• Experience delivering education, training, coaching and mentoring to nursing staff and learners.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement in paediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical education, support and mentorship to nursing staff, graduates, students and postgraduate learners within the paediatric service.
• Deliver and facilitate unit-based and organisation-wide education programs in response to mandatory training requirements and workforce development needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate learning programs that support safe paediatric care, clinical excellence and professional development.
• Promote evidence-based practice, reflective learning and continuous improvement to enhance staff capability and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with Nurse Unit Managers, education teams and multidisciplinary stakeholders to identify and address learning priorities.
• Support compliance with mandatory training requirements and contribute to a positive, learner-centred culture across the service.
