Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a part-time Clinical Educator (Paediatrics) to join the Education team in Gippsland. The role focuses on workforce capability, leading paediatric learning and development initiatives to support safe, high-quality care for children and families.

TheSuccessful candidate will drive education programs, promote evidence-based practice, and collaborate with nursing leadership to address learning priorities across the service.

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with AHPRA and relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Advanced Life Support competency across adult, paediatric and neonatal settings.
• Minimum five years' post-registration experience in a high-acuity setting.
• Experience delivering education, training, coaching and mentoring to nursing staff and learners.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement in paediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical education, support and mentorship to nursing staff, graduates, students and postgraduate learners within the paediatric service.
• Deliver unit-based and organisation-wide education programs to meet mandatory training and workforce development needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate learning programs to support safe paediatric care and professional development.
• Promote evidence-based practice and reflective learning to enhance staff capability and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with Nurse Unit Managers, education teams and multidisciplinary stakeholders to identify learning priorities.
• Support compliance with mandatory training and contribute to a learner-centred culture across the service.
