Job summary

Redland Premium Fruit in Merbein, VIC is seeking an Assistant Packshed Manager to support day-to-day warehouse and packing shed activities. You will coordinate flow of grapes, packaging and materials, assist with receiving, storage and dispatch, and supervise shed staff to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires supervisory experience, a current forklift license, and a commitment to flexible hours during peak harvest. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, logistics, agricultural or packshed environment.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Valid, current and unrestricted driver's license & forklift license
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts, weekends or extended hours during peak harvest and packing periods.
• Full working rights in Australia

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day warehouse and pack shed operations, ensuring the smooth flow of grapes, packaging, finished product and materials.
• Assist with receiving, storage, stock movements and dispatch, maintaining accurate inventory and documentation.
• Supervise and coordinate shed workers, including inductions, training and allocation of daily workloads.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health & safety, food safety, quality and compliance, including PPE, traffic management and housekeeping.
• Monitor forklifts, conveyors and material-handling equipment, ensuring safe operation and promptly reporting faults or maintenance requirements.
• Work closely with the Warehouse/Shed Manager and key stakeholders to communicate priorities, resolve operational issues and support peak-season requirements.
