Job summary

Labelmakers Group in Somerton Vic is seeking 2 reliable Packers for permanent day and afternoon shifts. You will join a production team on site and contribute to efficient packing of printed labels and finished goods.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will handle picking lists, stock control tasks, and maintain safe work practices. Experience on a production floor and a team-focused attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience on a production floor, preferably in print/packaging or label manufacturing.
• Good teamwork and ability to communicate across work groups.
• Self-motivated with high attention to detail and quality focus.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Receive and pack printed labels and finished goods for palletising and wrapping.
• Process pick lists accurately for deliveries and stock control.
• Assist with stock takes and inventory control activities.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safe work practices at all times.
• Operate allocated mechanical aided equipment per plant safety procedures.

About the opportunity:

We are seeking 2 reliable and motivated Packer’s to join our team in Somerton Vic on permanent day and afternoon shift.

This role reports to the Production Manager will be an integral part of the Production Team.

Key Responsibilities include:

• To receive and pack Printed Labels and / or Finished Goods to palletise, box wrap, shrink wrap, and / or stock
• Under direction, process Pick Lists accurately for deliveries, stock entries, account purposes and control.
• Assist is stock takes and for inventory control activities.
• Maintain Good Housekeeping of Work area and ensure Safe Work practices and manual handling are adhered to at all times
• Operate allocated Mechanical Aided Equipment as per the safety operating procedure of the plant

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Ideally, have prior experience in working on a production floor, experience in the print, packaging, or label manufacturing industry will be advantageous
• Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups and willing to help out others.
• Able to work autonomously and are self-motivated.
• To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus.
