Job summary

Capital Brewing Co is seeking a Packaging Line Operator to join our craft beer team in Canberra. You’ll assist day-to-day packaging, operate canning and kegging lines, and perform quality checks to uphold brewery standards.

We value a strong work ethic, reliability and team spirit. No prior packaging experience required—full training provided. A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential, and you’ll be supported by an experienced crew.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day packaging operations including canning, kegging and quality assurance.
• Operate packaging equipment including automated can filler, conveyors, paktech applicator, barcode applicator, cartoniser and palletiser.
• Operate semi-automatic kegging equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of packaging line and work areas.
• Perform quality checks to ensure packaging meets brewery standards.
• Follow workplace health and safety practices.
• Packaged and dry goods storage and handling.
• Perform stocktake of finished and raw material inventory and maintain inventory data.

What you'll be doing:

• Assist in day-to-day packaging operations including canning, kegging and quality assurance
• Effective operation of all packaging equipment including automated can filler, conveyors, paktech applicator, barcode applicator, cartoniser and palletiser.
• Effective operation of semi-automatic kegging equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness of packaging line and work areas
• Perform quality checks to ensure packaging meets brewery standards
• Follow workplace health and safety practices
• Packaged and dry goods storage and handling
• Perform stocktake of finished and raw material inventory and maintaining inventory management data

What we're looking for:

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)

• Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused
• Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, or brewing is an advantage but not essential - full training will be provided
