Job summary

Programmed Maintenance Services in Geelong, VIC, seeks a Packaging Improvement Technician to drive process improvements in our brewery packaging lines. You will support production teams and ensure packaging systems operate safely and efficiently.

The role focuses on implementing best-practice changes, handling problem solving on plant reliability issues, and providing hands-on support to shift teams while maintaining safe engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Mech or Elec) required.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Change management ability to influence and implement change.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge to drive performance improvements.
• Familiarity with packaging machinery in FMCG.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Packaging Improvement Technician to join our brewery operations in Geelong. This role is focused on driving process improvements, supporting production teams, and ensuring packaging systems run safely and efficiently.

Role Overview

• Deliver Process improvements in Packaging as defined by the departmental strategy.
• Support site and the production teams in achieving brewery scorecard targets via implementation of best practice improvement initiatives.
• Implement best practice change management and technical optimization of systems.
• Supporting structured problem solving on plant or reliability issues.
• Provide hands on support to shift reliability teams if required.
• Ensure standards are carried out in line with safe engineering work practices.

Requirements

• Trade qualification (Mech or Elec)
• Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
• Change management - ability to think, communicate and influence change.
• Strong functional/technical capability
• Microsoft suite computer skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems and processes, including CMMS.
• Ideal - Experience in the use of a lean manufacturing framework to drive performance improvement.
• Ideal - A good understanding of packaging Machinery in FMCG.
