Programmed GO in Geelong seeks a Packaging Improvement Technician to drive process improvements in our brewery packaging operations. You will support production teams and deploy best practice changes to keep packaging systems safe and efficient.

Ideal candidates hold a trade qualification (Mech or Elec) with lean manufacturing exposure, strong collaboration skills, and CMMS experience to optimise maintenance and performance.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Mech or Elec).
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to think, communicate and influence change through change management.
• Solid functional and technical capability for packaging systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems and CMMS.
• Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Understanding packaging machinery in FMCG is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Deliver process improvements in Packaging as defined by strategy.
• Support site and production teams to hit brewery scorecard targets.
• Implement best practice change management and optimisation of systems.
• Support structured problem solving on plant or reliability issues.
• Provide hands-on support to shift reliability teams as needed.

Role Overview

• Deliver Process improvements in Packaging as defined by the departmental strategy.
• Support site and the production teams in achieving brewery scorecard targets via implementation of best practice improvement initiatives.
• Implement best practice change management and technical optimization of systems.
• Supporting structured problem solving on plant or reliability issues.
• Provide hands on support to shift reliability teams if required.
• Ensure standards are carried out in line with safe engineering work practices.

Requirements

• Trade qualification (Mech or Elec)
• Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
• Change management - ability to think, communicate and influence change.
• Strong functional/technical capability
• Microsoft suite computer skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems and processes, including CMMS.
• Ideal - Experience in the use of a lean manufacturing framework to drive performance improvement.
