Job summary

Henkel at the Ingleburn site in Australia seeks a packaging solutions lead to drive innovation across consumer brands. You will manage projects from concept to execution with emphasis on quality, cost, sustainability and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee laboratory activities, manage data systems, and collaborate with suppliers, R&D teams and stakeholders to deliver packaging excellence and continuous improvement across the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative packaging solutions meeting international standards for quality, cost, sustainability, safety, regulatory and legal compliance.
• Lead packaging qualification and validation activities, including performance and compatibility testing and provide input for packaging artwork.
• Maintain packaging specification databases with accurate measurements, data management and statistical analysis.
• Identify and evaluate packaging materials and technologies that improve processes, reduce costs and deliver competitive advantage.
• Collaborate with packaging suppliers, R&D teams and stakeholders while ensuring lab activities, testing, processes and equipment maintenance meet Henkel standards.

In this role, based at our Ingleburn site, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative packaging solutions for Henkel’s consumer brands, driving projects from concept through to execution with a focus on quality, cost, sustainability and consumer appeal. You will also oversee laboratory activities and data systems, helping to deliver packaging excellence and support the continued innovation of our leading brands and technologies.

What you´ll do

• Develop and implement innovative packaging solutions that meet international standards and requirements for quality, functionality, cost, sustainability, market, safety, regulatory and legal compliance.
• Develop packaging solutions to support promotional activities and brand requirements.
• Lead packaging qualification and validation activities, including performance and compatibility testing, and provide technical input and approval for packaging artwork.
• Maintain packaging specification databases, including accurate measurements, data management and statistical analysis.
• Identify and evaluate packaging materials and technologies that improve processes, reduce costs and complexity, and deliver competitive advantage.
• Support Henkel’s sustainability agenda and compliance with APCO covenant obligations.
• Monitor packaging trends and proactively identify emerging technologies, materials and innovations to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with packaging suppliers, R&D teams & internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring laboratory activities, performance testing, processes, consumables, calibration and equipment maintenance comply with Henkel standards and good laboratory practices.
