Job summary

Trek Bikes Australia seeks a Demand Planning Analyst to join our team at the Australian Support Office. You will maintain forecasts, enter orders in ERP, and collaborate with wholesale and retail teams to align purchasing plans.

Ideal candidates have a business or supply chain degree, strong data skills, experience with ERP, and an interest in AI-assisted forecasting to improve accuracy and automate workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field.
  • Experience in demand planning, inventory management or commercial forecasting within consumer goods or cycling is beneficial.
  • Experience with parts, accessories or aftermarket product categories is advantageous.
  • Advanced data skills; experience with planning or ERP systems.
  • Curiosity about and experience with AI tools applied to forecasting and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills; ability to influence across functions and geographies.

  • Maintain accurate delivery dates in ERP Platform.
  • Upload delivery schedules when vendors submit monthly production updates.
  • Submit monthly forecast updates to suppliers, US Forecasters and / or product teams.
  • Work closely with retail purchasing teams to ensure alignment between wholesale and retail range/purchasing plans.
  • Seek feedback from local markets regarding initial forecasts for new products.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting tools, workflows, and analysis.

About the Role
  • Maintain monthly cadence of reviewing and generating forecasts and requisite order submission
  • Enter orders into Trek ERP platform and submit orders to vendor
  • Maintain accurate delivery dates in ERP Platform
  • Upload delivery schedules when vendors submit monthly production updates.
  • Submit monthly forecast updates to suppliers, US Forecasters and / or product teams.
  • Work closely with retail purchasing teams to ensure strong alignment between wholesale and retail range/purchasing plans
  • Seek feedback from local markets regarding initial forecasts for new products
  • Communicate major delays / issues to sales, marketing, and / or retail purchasing team.
  • Collect feedback from local market teams regarding new and existing product and report back to product teams.
  • Provide feedback on potential new products to US Product team.
  • Collaborate and challenge suppliers to optimize inbound product flow, balancing availability and cost
  • Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting tools, workflows, and analysis.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in demand planning, inventory management or commercial forecasting within consumer goods, cycling or sporting goods is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience working with parts, accessories or aftermarket product categories is highly advantageous.
  • Advanced data skills; experience with planning or ERP systems.
  • Curiosity about and experience with AI tools applied to forecasting, demand planning or data analysis; comfortable exploring generative AI to improve accuracy, automate workflows and accelerate decision-making.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings clearly.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills; comfortable influencing across functions and geographies.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to work across time zones to collaborate with global and regional teams.
