Job summary

Medibank Private Limited is seeking an Overseas Customer Service and Sales Consultant to join our Overseas team. This full-time role (37.5 hours/week) is based at Macquarie University, NSW, with occasional work-from-home or retail store opportunities but mainly on campus.

You will support overseas students with health insurance, delivering quality service and end-to-end solutions while aiming to grow sales and enhance the member experience. A collaborative, customer-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is valued.
• Knowledge of health, finance or insurance industry in Australia is desirable.
• Ability to communicate across channels and provide tailored solutions.

We are currently looking for a customer service and sales superstar to join our Overseas team as an Overseas Customer Service and Sales Consultant. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating roster between 8am to 8pm (NSW time).

You will be required to work at Macquarie University in Macquarie Park NSW. At times you may have the opportunity to work from home or at a Medibank retail store but this role is predominantly working at the uni.

As a member of the Overseas team, a premium service centre, you support a one‑stop‑shop for all our overseas member needs. Working in a collaborative environment you’ll be providing support, advice and value to our overseas students in relation to their health insurance.

This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their customer service and sales capabilities while building a rewarding career with Medibank.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing a qualityservice for our valued customers
• Service an end-to-end solution for our Overseas customers
• Identifying and highlighting opportunities to improve the member and billing agent experience
• Occasional presentations to stakeholders and customers
• Assisting customers face‑to‑face, over the phone (inbound and outbound calls), via emails and over messaging

Additional skills and experience

• Sales experience is highly regarded but not essential
• Knowledge and understanding of the health, finance, or insurance industry within Australia is desirable
• Self‑starter,a drive to pursue own learning and development outcomes and results
• Can remain calm and professional while dealing with at time challenging situations
• Passionate customer service and a problem solver

As part of this role you will be required to have or obtain a Volunteer Working with Children Check if successful.
