The Star Sydney is seeking a passionate Cook to join the Fat Noodle Kitchen, reporting directly to the Chef De Cuisine and delivering hands‑on, high‑standard cooking in a safety‑driven environment.

The role focuses on high‑volume preparation, Asian cuisine and wok techniques, with a rotating roster that includes overnight shifts. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team to create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Qualifications

• High‑volume cooking experience required.
• Experience with Asian cuisine and wok cooking advantageous.
• Can‑do attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Availability to work a rotating roster including overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean working environment while preparing food in line with quality expectations and fluctuating volumes.
• Consistently maintain a thorough knowledge of the entire menu, including an understanding of all base products and ingredients used.
• Ensure food presentation meets menu requirements and kitchen standards (SOPs).
• Demonstrate knowledge of and be able to use a broad range of cooking and food preparation equipment and skills, such as sauté, braising etc.
