Job summary

The Star Entertainment Group is seeking a skilled Cook for Fat Noodle Kitchen at The Star Sydney. You will contribute to flawless dish execution in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and culinary excellence while supporting a dynamic kitchen team.

You will work with Asian cuisine, leverage Wok skills, and maintain strong knowledge of the menu and base ingredients. The role offers on-site dining and growth opportunities within a premier hospitality group.

Qualifications

• High-volume culinary experience.
• Experience with Asian cuisine and Wok cooking advantageous.
• Can-do attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Availability to work a rotating roster including overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean working environment while preparing food in line with quality expectations and fluctuating volumes.
• Consistently maintain a thorough knowledge of the entire menu, including an understanding of all base products and ingredients used.
• Ensure food presentation meets menu requirements and kitchen standards (SOPs).
• Demonstrate knowledge of and use a broad range of cooking and food preparation equipment and skills, such as sauté, braising etc.
