Job summary

Gateway Health in Wodonga is seeking a part-time AOD support clinician to provide intensive, person-centred care for clients at high risk of overdose. You will link clients with timely treatment and ongoing support across Wangaratta and Wodonga.

The role focuses on pharmacotherapy program clients and other Gateway Health AOD services, working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment with strong emphasis on client-centred care and harm minimisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector, especially with clients experiencing substance use.
• Understanding of overdose risk factors and harm minimisation strategies in practice.
• Strong engagement, advocacy, and coordination with clients who may be disengaged or in crisis.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, person-centred support and brief interventions to high-risk clients.
• Link clients to timely treatment, ongoing care, and support services.
• Work across Wangaratta and Wodonga, supporting pharmacotherapy program clients and other AOD programs.
