Job summary

Epworth Geelong is seeking a proactive Outpatient Coordinator to join the Outpatient Administration team on a casual basis. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering friendly reception and coordinating referrals, pre-admissions and discharge steps to ensure a smooth outpatient journey.

Working with Allied Health, Nursing and VMOs you will manage referrals, service delivery and patient communications with accuracy and empathy, contributing to the delivery of

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer and administrative skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, healthcare or medical administration environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
  • A positive, adaptable and team-focused approach.
  • The confidence to engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

We are seeking a customer-focused and highly organised Outpatient Coordinator to join our welcoming Outpatient Administration team on a casual basis. As an integral member of the team, you will contribute to exceptional patient care by ensuring a positive, efficient and supportive experience at every stage of the outpatient journey.

As the first point of contact for many patients and visitors, you will deliver exceptional customer service while coordinating a range of administrative processes, from referral management and pre-admissions through to service delivery and discharge. Working closely with Allied Health, Nursing teams and Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), you will help create a positive and efficient experience for everyone who enters our service.
