Job summary

Service Stream is seeking a Meter Reader to cover the Riverland – Renmark region. The role involves walking a designated neighbourhood to record utility meter readings, with no prior experience required and training provided. Immediate start available in a supportive, health‑conscious outdoor environment.

You will read meters, travel daily with your own vehicle, and work Mon-Fri for 25–30 hours per week. Join a team that values safety, independence, and steady, long‑term employment.

Qualifications

• Current valid driver’s licence is required.
• Reliable vehicle and mobile phone are required.
• Ready to learn and able to work independently.
• Able to walk, bend and squat for extended periods.
• Able to work in most weather conditions.
• Mon-Fri – 5 days, 25–30 hours per week.
• Flexible with daily travel up to 45 minutes each way.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely, efficient and safe manner.
• Uphold Service Stream safety standards and represent the company professionally.
• Understand and ensure targets are met.
• Work independently but also with team members.
• Regularly communicate with the office support team.
• Upload/download route information to/from handheld device.
