GForce Recruitment is seeking a reliable, hands-on Litter and Traffic Control Officer to support daily operations at a waste transfer station in Melbourne. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe environment, directing traffic, and assisting the public with recycling and waste disposal.

The successful candidate will perform manual tasks, follow safety procedures, and work well in a team while complying with council policies and WHS requirements.

Responsabilités

• Collect litter and maintain cleanliness of the transfer station and surrounding areas.
• Keep offices, ticket box, lunchroom and toilets clean and tidy.
• Maintain a clean and safe recycling area and encourage correct recycling.
• Direct traffic and assist the public with reversing vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure waste is permitted and correctly sorted.
• Assist the public with unloading recyclables and waste when required.
• Mow grass and trim around the transfer station and ticket box.
• Operate the ticket office as required.
• Care for and maintain plant, tools and equipment.
• Follow work instructions, policies and WHS requirements.
• Identify and report maintenance issues as they arise.
