Job summary

Mildura Rural City Council is seeking a casual Waste Team member to support kerbside bin maintenance, litter control and street cleaning across the municipality. You will perform daily waste management and provide quality customer service at transfer stations and landfill, using digital systems to record waste and process payments.

Ideally you hold a Light Rigid Truck Licence and have knowledge of waste services, recycling operations and safe procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of waste services practices and procedures, including recycling and landfill operations.
• Experience in customer service and communication.
• Ability to operate a tablet, smart phone, EFTPOS and apply the appropriate charges.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily waste management and customer service duties.
• Control litter around landfill and collect/empty public bins.
• Ensure recycling and waste disposal operations across landfill and transfer stations.
• Process payments and record incoming waste using digital systems.
• Deliver kerbside services such as bin maintenance, illegal dumping collection, and street cleaning.
