Job summary

Origin Energy in Melbourne is seeking a driven Business Development Manager – Outbound Sales to join Origin’s LPG Business Sales team. This is a true new business hunting role, centred on prospecting, cold calling prospective business customers and building a pipeline for LPG growth.

You will own the customer journey from first contact through onboarding and first delivery, running targeted outbound campaigns and converting opportunities into customers while identifying cross-sell opportunities

Qualifications

• Hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business.
• Strong experience in outbound sales, cold calling or business development.
• Confidence prospecting and creating opportunities rather than waiting for leads.
• Able to work toward and achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Strong communication, negotiation and objection-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively cold call and prospect new business customers.
• Build and manage your own sales pipeline through outbound activity and targeted campaigns.
• Convert new leads into customers through consultative sales conversations.
• Identify win-back and cross-sell opportunities to drive growth.
• Own the customer journey from first conversation through onboarding and first delivery.
• Work with Field Sales, Operations and Logistics to deliver a strong customer experience.
