Job summary

Xavier College is seeking an experienced OSHC & Vacation Care Director for the Riverlea Park Campus. The founding staff member will lead the service from January 2027, overseeing programs, staffing, enrolments, budgets, and compliance across 37.5 hours per week during 48 weeks of the school year.

The role requires ACECQA-approved qualifications, strong leadership and stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to safe, inclusive environments for children.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved qualification or equivalent for the position.
• Experience leading teams within OSHC/Vacation Care/education settings.
• Ability to inspire, mentor and develop staff.
• Strong leadership, organisational and operational management skills.
• Knowledge of legislative, regulatory and child safety requirements.
• Experience managing service administration, budgets and resources.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
• Commitment to high-quality, inclusive outcomes for children.
• Proficiency in relevant computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the OSHC and Vacation Care service.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of educators.
• Oversee the delivery of engaging, child-centred programs that promote children's learning and wellbeing.
• Manage service operations, including staffing, enrolments, budgets and administration.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory and child safety requirements.
• Build strong partnerships with children, families, staff and the wider community.
• Champion continuous improvement and service excellence.
• Support the establishment and growth of the Riverlea Park OSHC and Vacation Care service.
