Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is seeking a Mobile Coordinator to support Outside School Hours Care services across Canberra. This permanent full-time role (38 hours/week, split shifts) involves traveling between services, leading teams, and delivering high-quality programs for children and families.

You will manage daily operations, mentor Educators, and ensure safety, compliance and strong program outcomes, while benefiting from regional support and generous perks.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading OSHC, childcare, or education teams.
  • Working towards or completed ACECQA qualifying credential.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple services and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support services with daily operations and leadership coverage.
  • Lead and mentor Teams of Educators.
  • Deliver engaging programs (sports, STEM, arts, cooking, wellbeing).
  • Manage compliance, safety and operational standards.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, schools and staff.
  • Support services to achieve quality and assessment outcomes.
  • Assist with roster management, administration and program planning.

Are you a dedicated OSHC leader who thrives in a fast-paced, supportive environment and enjoys making a real impact across multiple services? We are looking for a passionate and adaptableMobile Coordinatorto support our Outside School Hours Care services across Canberra!

This is a permanent full timeopportunity, working 38 hours per week across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

  • Before School Care: 6:00am – 9:00am
  • After School Care: 2:30pm – 6:00pm

About the Role

As a Mobile Coordinator, you’ll never be bored - every day brings new experiences, different teams to support, and opportunities to make an impact across our services. You’ll travel between services, stepping in where support is needed most, leading teams, maintaining high-quality program delivery, and creating positive experiences for children, families, and educators.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting services with daily operations and leadership coverage
  • Leading and mentoring teams of Educators
  • Delivering engaging programs including sports, STEM, creative arts, cooking, and wellbeing activities
  • Managing compliance, safety, and operational standards
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, schools, and team members
  • Supporting services to achieve strong quality and assessment outcomes
  • Assisting with roster management, administration, and program planning

Qualifications

About You

You are a confident and adaptable leader who enjoys supporting teams and creating meaningful experiences for children.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a First QualifiedEducatorin ACT in accordance with ACECQA
  • Experience leading teams in OSHC, childcare, education, or a similar environment
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A current and valid Working with Children Check
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between services
  • Availability to work split shifts Monday to Friday
  • A passion for creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for children
