Job summary

The Southport School is seeking an experienced Group Leader or above to join the OSHC team and work alongside the Team Leader and Director of Preschool to deliver OSHC and vacation care for boys aged 4–12. The role includes weekday term-time hours and full-time hours during school holidays, with parking and access to school facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children aged 4–12 years in a positive, respectful manner.
• Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs and documentation.
• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond to accidents, incidents and emergencies promptly and calmly.
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place and related regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional conduct and conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the OSHC team to deliver a high-quality program for boys aged 4–12.
• Plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities.
• Oversee documentation and reporting for OSHC and vacation care.
• Manage behaviour support and guidance within a supportive team.
• Liaise with school leadership and stakeholders and ensure safety procedures are followed.
