Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking an Assistant Educator to support OSHC programs at Helping Hands Robertson. The role fits around university timetables, with morning and afternoon shifts and extra hours in school holidays.

You will help deliver engaging activities for primary school children in a safe, supportive environment. Guaranteed 15 hours per week, with competitive pay between AUD 27 and AUD 38 per hour plus super.

Qualifications

• Desirable but not mandatory: qualification to work as a 1 or 2 year qualified educator in QLD (ACECQA)
• Evidence of National Child Safety Training prior to onboarding
• A genuine love for working with children

Responsibilities

• Assist in OSHC programs and day-to-day activities for primary school children
• Support morning and afternoon shift programs (Rise then Shine / Stay and Play)

Who are we looking for?

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.
