Job summary

YMCA Albany Creek Outside School Hours Care is hiring casual Educators to join our team. You’ll supervise and engage children before and after school and during vacation care, creating a safe, inclusive, fun environment.

We value a not-for-profit ethos and community focus. Candidates should be studying toward a Cert III or Diploma, hold Current First Aid/CPR and Blue Card, and bring energy, creativity and a strong sense of responsibility to the role.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play
