Job summary

Gowrie NSW Erskineville is seeking dedicated childcare staff for permanent part-time afternoon shifts to support children in a safe, play-based environment. You will engage with children, assist with learning activities, supervise routines and help with meals and cleaning as needed.

The role requires genuine care for children, a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services (or progress toward) and valid compliance certificates.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or currently studying toward this qualification.
• Valid compliance certificates (WWCC, First Aid, etc.).
• Demonstrates passion for working with children and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support children in a nurturing, play-based learning environment.
• Assist with daily routines, meals, cleaning and food preparation.
• Ensure compliance and safety requirements are met.
• Communicate effectively with families and team.

About Gowrie NSW Erskineville

We are a not-for-profit OSHC service that places high value in creating a safe, play-based environment for children to thrive. We consider a friendly team dynamic to be integral to the impact of our learning programs and we are looking for someone who shares that philosophy and wants to be part of a committed and engaged team.

We have the below permanent part time roles available:

• Role 1 | 2:30pm-5:45pm | Monday to Friday | 16.25hrs
• Role 2 | 2:30pm-5:30pm | Monday to Friday | 15hrs
• Role 3 | 2:30pm-5:00pm | Monday to Thursday | 10hrs

Your Impact

Our passionate team of educators strive to create a nurturing learning environment for the children in our care whilst ensuring they also have fun. Your excellent communication skills and genuine interest in supporting little people to grow and realise their potential will have a lasting impact.

You will also need to ensure compliance and safety requirements are met, do some paperwork and assist with cleaning and food preparation.

About you

• Have a passion for working with children
• Preferably have Certificate III or Diploma (Children’s Services) or are working towards this or a similar qualification
• Have valid compliance certificates (e.g. WWCC, Child Protection, First Aid etc.)
