Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Churchill VIC is seeking an OSHC Coordinator to lead the delivery of high-quality after school care at Churchill North Primary School. You will oversee staff, enrolments, and the MTOP-based program within the school community.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with families, and adherence to national standards and regulations. Regular hours are weekday afternoons, with time‑in‑lieu provisions and a focus on safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to lead, coordinate and manage the delivery of an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service
• Proven ability to establish and maintain positive parent and community relationships
• Demonstrated skills in working with diverse children
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work within a team and embrace collaborative learning practices
• Capability to develop understanding of child care administration software
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) or current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration

Responsibilities

• Lead OSHC sessions (Before and After School Care as required)
• Recruit and orient educators joining the OSHC team and communicate requirements
• Support casual staff to build capability within their role
• Complete administrative tasks, including medical records and data collection
• Develop and implement MTOP Curriculum and educational program
• Develop OSHC operating policies and promote the program
• Coordinate enrolments and ensure compliance with relevant laws
• Ensure inclusion of all children and support additional needs
• Manage OSHC budget and CCS rebates
• Prepare nutritious food following health guidelines
• Provide regular reports to School Council
• Maintain confidentiality and high professionalism
• Build strong relationships with families and school community
• Meet National Quality Standards and National Quality Framework requirements
• Attend PD opportunities and undertake additional duties as needed
