Job summary

Department of Education & Training, Victoria seeks an OSHC Coordinator to lead high-quality care for primary school children at Churchill North Primary School. Reporting to the principal, you will oversee all OSHC aspects and ensure MTOP and national regulatory compliance.

You will recruit and orient educators, manage enrolments and budgets, and collaborate with families and the school community to deliver safe, engaging programs.

Qualifications

• Possess or be working towards a Diploma/Advanced Diploma of Children Services/Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care, Primary Education or equivalent.
• Hold Senior First Aid as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010.
• Anaphylaxis and Asthma management training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010.
• Food Handling Licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Having or be willing to apply for a PRODA.
• Previous experience working in a leadership role in a OSHC or childcare setting.
• Individuals with a willingness to undertake aqualification approved by ACECQA for working with school age children may apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead the session of care (Before and After School Care as required).
• Recruit and orient all new educators for OSHC.
• Support casual staff to build capability within their role.
• Complete administrative tasks and maintain records; develop MTOP Curriculum.
• Develop and implement OSHC policies and promote the program.
• Coordinate enrolments in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure inclusion of all children and those with additional care needs.
• Manage OSHC budget and CCS rebates.
• Prepare nutritious food adhering to health guidelines.
• Provide regular reports to the School Council.
• Write and communicate at a high level; meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate initiative and work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality; uphold professionalism.
• Build rapport with families and the school community.
• Implement MTOP and National Quality Framework requirements.
• Attend PD and undertake other duties as required.
