Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare in Deception Bay is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator to support the Coordinator and our team in daily OSHC operations. You will help shape a warm, inclusive program where children feel valued, connected and inspired.

You will lead program planning and delivery, roster and supervise staff, mentor Educators, and uphold safety and quality standards under the National Quality Framework.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children Services or ACECQA Equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in education and care of children in a similar role.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
• Child Protection Training is a requirement of this role.
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
• Experience with childcare management software (Xplor) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Coordinator in day-to-day operations of the service.
• Support program planning, delivery, and documentation.
• Roster staff and provide supervision.
• Assist in delivering a high-quality, inclusive educational program.
• Provide children with a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve strong outcomes for children and families.
