Job summary

Cairns Catholic Early Learning & Care – Trinity Park, QLD, is seeking a dedicated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our team. This full-time role partners with the Nominated Supervisor to mentor staff, maintain program quality and support children’s learning in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with families and the Educational Leader, model reflective practice, and help ensure a secure, engaging after-school program that aligns with the National Quality Framework.

Qualifications

• Possess a recognised Diploma or higher in early childhood education (ACECQA approved).
• Demonstrated leadership in OSHC or early learning settings.
• Experience in program planning, documentation and reflection.

Responsibilities

• Coach and guide educators to reflect, learn and grow.
• Promote inclusive, culturally responsive practice for all children.
• Build trusting relationships with children and families.
• Communicate clearly with parents and educators; share program activities.
• Engage families and community to enrich curriculum and belonging.
• Monitor learning and wellbeing; document progress and feedback.
• Support team to set goals, evaluate outcomes and celebrate achievements.
• Ensure compliance with National Law, Regulations and NQS.
• Assist with scheduling, records, and supplies for daily operations.
