Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) Burpengary reviews an OSHC Assistant Coordinator to lead a before- and after-school program for ages 5-12. The role focuses on developing a vibrant, child-centred program while guiding Educators and ensuring safe, engaging activities.

You’ll work a permanent, part-time schedule (21.5 hours/week) across split shifts, with support from a Coordinator and Regional Manager, and opportunities to grow into a Service Manager or related roles.

Qualifications

  • Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA.
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
  • Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently.
  • Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check.

Responsibilities

  • Design and help lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
  • Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration.
  • Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
  • Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
  • Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager, so you’re never doing it alone.

Helping Hands Burpengary is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our growing service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.

This is a permanent, part-time role (21.5 hours per week) working across split shifts, Monday to Friday. This is the perfect opportunity for an education, psychology, social work or healthcare student as we work around your busy schedule.

Service hours include:

  • Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
  • Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
  • School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About your new role
