Job summary

TAS Early Learning OSHC Service in Queensland is seeking an OSHC Assistant to support before and after school programs for primary aged children. You'll help deliver engaging, play-based experiences in a safe, inclusive environment and work with the OSHC team to ensure high-quality sessions.

Casual hours are available with shifts before and after school, minimum 15 hours per week and up to 38 hours per week during Vacation Care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services (or similar) or working towards attainment.
• CPR certificate.
• First Aid certificate.
• Experience in OSHC or Vacation care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support play-based activities—assist in delivering engaging, play based experiences that inspire curiosity and support children's development and wellbeing.
• Create inclusive environments—help set up and maintain inclusive, stimulating spaces that encourage exploration and discovery.
• Build positive relationships—foster warm, nurturing relationships with children to promote emotional safety and belonging.
• Support family partnerships—communicate respectfully with families, supporting positive partnerships that contribute to each child's learning journey.
• Collaborate with the team—work closely with the OSHC team to ensure daily operations and a positive program culture.
