Job summary

Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton’s Mackay region seeks an Assistant OSHC Coordinator for St Joseph's Catholic Primary School. The role covers before school, after school and vacation care, 18 hours per week, with commencement as soon as possible or by agreement.

You will work with the Coordinator to develop child‑centred activities for ages 5–12, ensuring safety, inclusivity and alignment with the My Time Our Place framework. Diploma preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• A current valid Blue Card under the WWC Act is required.
• Diploma in Children’s Services or ACECQA‑approved equivalent preferred or willingness to obtain.
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma training (ACECQA approved).
• National Police Check or recent check (≤6 months) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in before and after school care and vacation care programs.
• Support the Coordinator with program planning and day‑to‑day operations.
• Provide guidance to staff on best practice and safety.
• Engage with families to explain policies and procedures.
